You and your friends are totally cared for in our deluxe wilderness camping getaway. You will love our Northern Outdoors camping style; we guarantee it! Spend a relaxing day exploring the beauty, scenery and wildlife of Indian Pond, a 9-mile long wilderness lake rich in logging history. You’ll camp in comfortable platform tents along the lake’s shore and fall asleep to a star-filled sky and the sound of waves gently lapping at the shore. You’ll awake to the aroma of fresh coffee, a hearty breakfast, and loons crying in the distance. This Adults-Only Wilderness Camp experience sells out every summer because it’s so much fun. We offer an identical Family Wilderness Camp Adventure Getaway as well. We do this so that you can enjoy your vacation with groups of similar interests.

| Itinerary | Description |
| Saturday | On the first day, you will travel in comfort by motorized pontoon boat to our waterfront campsite on Indian Pond, complete with tents already set up on sturdy platforms and a central cooking and social area. Once at the campsite, you have the opportunity to use sit-on-top kayaks on the lake or explore a nearby inlet by pontoon boat to search for local wildlife. Moose, deer, osprey, and loons are often sighted. After a deluxe cold cut picnic lunch, we’ll grab inner tubes and motor up to Ledge Falls at the north end of the lake. Here we’ll spend a fun-filled afternoon tubing and body surfing in the pools and drops beneath the falls. Later in the afternoon, we’ll return to the campsite for hor d’oeuvres and beverages. A roaring campfire is built and the guides prepare a magnificent lobster feast complete with Maine mussels steamed in wine, fresh corn-on-the-cob and all the fixin’s. It’s a light-hearted evening of stories, jokes, our infamous wilderness sauna, and perhaps even a moonlit dip in the lake. |
| Sunday | The next morning, after a hearty pancake and egg breakfast, we’ll motor 3 miles to the south end of the lake, where you’ll begin the exciting 12 mile descent of the Kennebec River Gorge. Enjoy a gourmet grilled riverside lunch on your full day of whitewater rafting on the Kennebec River. |

What Wilderness Overnight Packages Include
- Professional Registered Maine Guide on each Guided Activity
- Shuttle transportation to and from all activities
- Full use of the amenities at The Forks Resort Center
- Meals as specified in itineraries
- Camping equipment (for Wilderness Camp Getaway)
- A fee of $4 per person to cover road access to the river and a levy paid to the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife will be added to each rafting guest.
